Our zipscreen system blinds are very effective at keeping out rain, however they are not necessarily 100% watertight. This is often because the patio or deck areas against which they sit are not always level which allows for gaps underneath for water to come in. You may also find that mesh screens let in more water than solid PVC blinds. For this reason, you might consider a mix of materials with PVC on the side of the space more likely to be rained on and mesh on the other side. However, with the track system and weather-proofing on the bottom, your blinds will keep out the majority of the rain. We recommend that in very stormy conditions you fully raise the blinds to avoid damage.
